Town of Ithaca Goes Digital with Laserfiche The Town of Ithaca is a member of
the Tompkins Shared Services Electronic Records Repository or TSSERR. TSSERR was the brainchild of Tompkins County Clerk Maureen Reynolds and Deputy Alanna Congdon. This shared services program has won multiple awards from the County, State and Federal levels, saving hundreds of thousands of dollars for Tompkins County residents. TSSERR is essentially an online filing cabinet with each municipality and level of government having its own drawer to fill with records as they are scanned or digitized. Currently, the Town has scanned most Board and Committee minutes. We continue to digitize, verify and upload records with the goal of having all records available to everyone in a convenient, unrestricted way. What does this mean for you? It means you have access to Town Board, Zoning Board, and Planning Board minutes and more, anywhere and anytime, without being restricted to normal office hours. How will you benefit? As we move forward with Laserfiche, more and more town records will be available with a click of the mouse, allowing you open access when convenient for you. For more information on the status of certain record series, or to provide any suggestions or comments, please feel free to email to Paulette Rosa, Town Clerk or Becky Jordan, Deputy Town Clerk |
