The Town of Ithaca is looking to develop the park site located at the intersection of East King Road and Ridgecrest Road along with two short trail connections.  The current preliminary plans for the park include a new vehicle entrance and parking for 5 vehicles, a small playground, benches and picnic tables, landscaping, enhancing the small pond adjacent to East King Road, and raised berm areas to help enjoy the terrific views.  The project will also include one trail connection from the main park down to Whitetail Drive and a second trail connection from the main park west around the Saunders Road development and out to East King Road where a short section of the trail currently exists.  The trail would be approximately 8 – 10 feet wide with a stone dust surface.

Please stop by the future park site on Wednesday, August 30th anytime between 4 and 6 pm.  Town staff will be present to answer questions and take feedback.  We will have large scale drawings available showing the preliminary designs.

For questions or to provide feedback, please contact Michael Smith, Senior Planner, or 607-273-1747.
