Treman State Park and Buttermilk Falls State Park. The Plan mapped out the Inlet Valley Gateway focus area, envisioning part of the Elmira Road corridor as home to a mix of small-scale, low impact office, commercial, artisan, and hospitality uses, in an attractive semi-rural setting. The Comprehensive Plan intends for the Inlet Valley Gateway area to be distinct from the busy Elmira Road commercial district across the city line to the north. In 2018, the Town of Ithaca conducted an economic development feasibility study and strategic plan to investigate the long-term potential of the Inlet Valley area. A key recommendation of the plan was to establish a zoning overlay, with land use and design standards that implement the Comprehensive Plan's vision for the area. |
